How soon can I expect results from using minoxidil topical solution 5%?
Since normal hair typically grows only 1/2 to 1 inch per month, hair regrowth with minoxidil 5% topical solution also requires time. Results can appear as early as 2 months with twice daily use. However, for some men, it may take at least 4 months to notice results.
If you do not see any improvement after 4 months, discontinue use of minoxidil 5% topical solution. When you first start using minoxidil 5%, you may experience an increase in hair loss for up to 2 weeks. This is usually a sign that old hairs are shedding to make way for new hair growth.
